Selin Bonfil (b.1996)
My work explores the boundaries between fiction and documentary. Growing up in Istanbul, I've felt a fluency through East and Western cultures and aim to embody that fluidity in my work.
As a visual storyteller, I work across different mediums such as video, photography, music and drawing. I aim to surface stories close to my heart as well as challenge taboos and gender norms.
After obtaining my BFA at the NYU Tisch Film & TV program I've embarked on a journey of directing, writing and shooting fiction and non-fiction, as well as collaborating with engaging artists across various mediums.
